How Instant Reality Gaming collects and uses Discord and Riot Games data for community inhouses.
Instant Reality Gaming ("IRG") operates a Discord bot and website at instantrealitygaming.com to organize League of Legends inhouses. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how you can unlink or delete data. By using IRG, you agree to this policy and our Terms of Service.
When you sign in with Discord or use the bot, we store your Discord user ID, username and display name, avatar URL (if provided), and server membership context so we can authenticate you, show profiles, and match you to queues and match history.
When you link a League of Legends account (Discord /ign link or Account Settings), we collect via Riot Games APIs:
We use this data only for account verification, fair matchmaking, season ratings, and resolving game outcomes. We do not sell Riot API data, build a public tracking product for resale, or use Riot data for gambling or betting.
When tournament mode is enabled, we may create Riot Tournament API lobby codes for IRG matches. Codes are ephemeral and shared only with players in that match (lobby channel post and Lobby Code button). When Riot sends a game-end callback, we store the related match ID only to determine the winner and update ratings—not for marketing or resale.
We may store shop cosmetic preferences, IRG Points balances (no cash value), support tickets you open, and community tournament signup details you submit. If you donate, payment processors such as Stripe handle payment details; we do not store full card numbers and we do not sell payment information.
We run self-hosted Plausible Analytics for aggregate traffic (pageviews and sources). Plausible does not use cookies and does not store IP addresses. Separately, for security and abuse prevention, we may store your IP address linked to your Discord account when you sign in, use an authenticated website session, or confirm a browser through the Discord bot. Browser confirmation also records the site's device cookie and browser software for account-abuse checks. Match and draft pass activity is recorded separately with the pass owner and, when available, the signed-in opener, plus the IP used to open the link. In the Pass activity view only, staff can see other accounts previously signed in from that IP as possible leads. We keep timestamps for counted pass uses when available; repeated requests within a 15-minute window for the same pass activity group update the last-used time without increasing the use count. An IP overlap can reflect a shared household, school, or workplace and is not an identity link or alt-enforcement signal. New pass activity is retained for 180 days; older IP-linked pass records are marked as legacy history because they cannot reliably identify every opener. Analytics data is visible only to authorized viewers and the Discord server owner.
Riot-linked account data is kept while your account remains linked, plus season and match history needed for leaderboards and dispute resolution. Unlinked accounts remove active Riot linkage; historical match records may remain anonymized or roster-based for season integrity unless you request broader deletion.
Unlink anytime with Discord /clearign or via Account Settings. For deletion or privacy requests, email support@instantrealitygaming.com or open a Support ticket.
